Floral Shaker card

Sharing a small(4*4),floral shaker card today.

The flower is from In Bloom-Addie's Garden(W & W).I often tend to put a lot of pigment while coloring and lose the beautiful effect of transparent watercolors! I controlled myself this time:) I did use more color for shadows in the end but avoided using white color pencil for highlights.

I dashed lines on white panel are from Scenery: Stripes . Sentiment from the big, the bold and Happy.

Inspired by Pop Art !

A rock makeover to this cute bird from So Tweet with Evelin T Designs (W&W), stamped them on different paper scraps and paper pieced them.

Had fun mixing & matching them! Arranged them in a grid Pop Art Style! Used Scenery : Stripes (W&W) for the grid.

The sentiment is from Big, the Bold and You.

Left over birds get to stage on bookmarks.
Can you guess what do they say? (hint : lines)
Reading between the lines !
Next one is based on a fond memory of my friend holding a seat for me in bus everyday.

Holding for ya !
and the last one..

Anniversary card.

Looks like a simple shaker card ?Take another look ..

Nothing different ?Let us open it …!

Sentiment outside and images inside !
I was itching to color these hydrangeas (In Bloom : Addie's garden -Winnie & Walter) ever since I got the stamp and no-line water coloring being the only form I know I went for it! I have used traditional water colors (Camlin Artist Water Color) for coloring, I need to practice a lot to achieve realistic look! After coloring I masked the flowers and leaves and blended grey ink in background and ended up with a mess!

I had to do something to get rid of the ugly bg So I cut out the flowers and leaves.

Plain bg didn’t look good either I ended up stamping few more hydrangeas in gray.

It’s inspired by Heather’s card again!

The sentiment is from the big, the bold and the Happy (Winnie & Walter).

Tulips in grid

Back to flowers ;) “Grid art” the inspiration behind this card(mine looks more like stain glass though), I have used similar technique earlier on this and this card. I have CASEd this card by Heather Hoffman (and have some more on the list!).

Started by stamping the tulips from In Bloom : Addie's Garden (Winnie &Walter )
on water color cardstock with light DI. After that I drew a grid with ruler and pencil. Then comes the interesting part water coloring! Would you like to see how I went about coloring it? (No options)

The sentiment is from the big, the Bold and You set(Winnie & Walter).

I scored a grid on card base before foam mounting the panel.
